Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop works in long term partnership with local organisations to develop projects with specific groups and visual artists.
We have been working with groups from Multicultural Family Base over a number of year on projects with young people and families. Recent projects include: an after school Clay Club initiative with young women which is ongoing; family day workshops, workshop for a men’s group and in 2021 Raheel Khan collaborated with some of the families on Land//Scape , a commission for ESW’s Beacon Tower where he invited families to recreate their impressions of the city through sound.
In 2020 we started a new partnership with the Rock Trust and have been working with young people on a series of group workshops and a peer to peer mentoring programme with artists. Find out more about the work we have been doing together and our plans from Autumn 2023 see here.
Over the years we have run bespoke workshops with groups from Citadel Youth specifically as part of their Old’s Cool intergenerational programme.
